e on Monday, the online sunny day petition launched last week by the Association for the gratuity of Oléron bridge has surpassed the 10,000 signatures. It aims to reach 15,000 by Wednesday and examination by the elected representatives of the island gathered in the Community Council of the question.
To recall, the introduction of a toll on the viaduct connecting the island to the mainland is planned. It would be for the motor vehicles sunny day of 12 euros in the summer, 6 euros excluding summer; 35 euros and 28 euros for trucks with more than two axles; 2 euros for motorcycles. Permanent residents would be exempt, side residents would pay 2 euros per shift or 70 euros a year.
The mayor of La Rochelle wants to deleverage the city. He therefore planned for 2015 highly targeted spending. Very long debate ... the debate budget guidelines. Regular exercise at the end ... 3 La Rochelle: sunny day opposition protests against the budget
The island's elected discuss the sensitive subject of the environmental tax on Wednesday. Opponents are mobilizing and rotate an Internet petition of 46 Free Oléron bridge: Dominique Bussereau favor of a referendum

@ Vroum17 Who gave the right to install caravans next to the side of the dunes? when the foreign word, it has nothing to do with your comments. Vacationers bring a lot to this island, common, artisans, etc ....
@ Bully17000 Noirmoutier c is the Vendée, De Villiers department chair of al time, go on their roads .... there is another 4-way construction .a guy disinterested in politics and personal enrichment here is a solution.

It would be useful to know the geographical origin of 10,000 voters. Moreover, these are not "foreigners" to 17 who pay maintenance of the bridge. This one goes to 50 years, and I think that heavy work and rebates standards will not be long to win. Finally, we must also remember that the Oleron coastline is seriously threatened by the sea, and they are not "foreigners" mentioned above that will finance the protection of the dunes, beaches and parks they enjoy (well the summer) free today. Only an intelligent environmental tax would solve this equation
and say that Ré bridge (for the rich) is paying since 1988 ... there must be some hidden by that Act that could prohibit the abuse and ... DISCRIMINATION FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT !!! Fed up of the Charente-Maritime !! Is the bridge of Noirmoutier free? I DONT NO! So there are solutions without necessarily going through the box TAXES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a toll for non-residents ok, but not to such a rate. 35 for trucks! they do not go on vacation, they are still there to bring what's missing on the island, and 12 per car is also well-behaved; it looks like prices Vinci!

A question, This bridge was paid by all taxpayers Charente-Maritime, so it belongs to them ... why taxpayers would gift to the inhabitants of the island of Oleron? Since Charentais have to pay to go to the island, why not Oléronnais they would pay to come on the continent? What is certain though this toll as small as it is, is established I will not spend my money in restaurants, the island of the shops!

At the time of the toll, everyone was happy: the islanders sunny day were exempted and those who owned a second home on the island felt the toll it possible to "filter" some comings and goings on the island. The only thing that annoyed people at that time was the outrageously high salary employees perceived the toll and the lack of courtesy that people overpaid for what they were doing had against users. I testify, I often drove me to La Cotinière: hardly a "hello" lip and almost never a "goodbye", a "thank you" or "good stay on the island" ... . When the toll was abolished, the island has actually recovered quickly invaded by "undesirable" elements (meaning: the "scum" and rochefortaise Rochelle who had to raid the island, both the died that summer period). Police statistics from this period demonstrate ... Replace the toll today would perhaps find the most quiet location of old. But please, for reasons of economy and justice in e country
